Chelsea Manning is an emerging artist from the Wheatbelt in Western Australia, currently based in Alice Springs. She creates detailed graphite and charcoal drawings through observing intricacies in her surroundings, heavily inspired by her keen interests in exploring and our relation to the natural world.
Born in Perth (1992) and growing up on her family farm on the outskirts of Moora, the artist was influenced from a young age by her Mother; an art lecturer and independant artist, along with her Grandfather, a Doctor of Education who encouraged her through his own sense of artistic merit to pursue her abilities.
Chelsea has worked in a range of creative fields over the past decade, continuing to exercise her creativity by experimenting with a variety of mediums. She aims to develop her practice through working on collections for future exhibitions, as well as illustrative work for murals and publications.
